TAMILNADU CINEMA'S SHUTDOWN UNTIL 58% TAX CUT
Tamilnadu is an state of India having a second large economy . As per the GST Indian cinema's have implied with 28 % tax on tickets to the consumers all over India . But , Tamilnadu state goverment now implied a massive 30 % tax on cinema tickets have raised the pressure on India producers and cine industrialist . At present the tax rates for Kollywood cinema tickets are 58%.
If a person buying RS. 100 ticket + 58% tax = RS.158
Cine industrialist feel that this tax rates would devastate the future of Kollywood cinema's . This tax rate might decrease the people's attraction on cinem'a and it will lead to dead future of kollywood .Many workers may lose their job whom are depending on cine industry. So the cine people and theatre owners have taken the decision to stop cine shooting and screening movies until the high tax rates are cut off. Read more
